This week, we are: Math: solving word problems involving pennies, nickels, and dimes. This will be assessed on Friday. Next, we will begin a unit on collecting data and displaying on a graph. Writing: writing narratives on-demand. Reading: describing the structure of a story to include beginning, middle and end. I am evaluating individual reading levels for the end of the first quarter. On Thursday, our class will go to the Media Center to renew and/or checkout new books. Language Arts: decoding and spelling long e vowel patterns (ee, ea, ie): dream, feel, yield, cream, wheel, field, increase, greedy, relief, queen. Social Studies: describing how people use rivers in Georgia. Unit of Inquiry: Living things adapt in their environment.
